Special Outcome Information

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the grooming of a Special Result of Water on the topic of the h2o footprint. We would similar to invite you to submit papers investigating the effect of climate change on nutrient, energy production and trade patterns at both the regional and global levels, using the concepts of the water footprint and virtual water. Nosotros are particularly open to papers whose results tin exist translated into climate change adaptation strategies, such as those focused on the evaluation of the environmentally sustainable use of water, time to come water dependencies, water hazard and security of supply, and the use of culling water sources such every bit desalination.

This Special Event will include innovative instance studies focusing on global assay, geographic regions, products, sectors or businesses. We are especially interested in papers that use novel methodologies in the generation of climatic scenarios and the spatial calculation of climatic variables, with which it is possible to improve our knowledge of the spatio-temporal evolution of the h2o footprint and of the water markets. Likewise, the use of Artificial Intelligence algorithms, such as machine learning or deep learning, with which it is possible to find patterns of water consumption and production, are besides of interest.

Manuscript Submission Data

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission course. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special consequence website. Research articles, review articles every bit well equally short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and curt abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Part for announcement on this website.

Submitted manuscripts should not accept been published previously, nor exist under consideration for publication elsewhere (except briefing proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review procedure. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Water is an international peer-reviewed open up access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors folio before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open admission journal is 2200 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and apply skilful English. Authors may use MDPI'south English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
